Peer Rope rules

Turku Shibari Peer Rope is a safer space.

  • Leave your ego at the door 💓 - This is a safer space for all genders, sexualities, backgrounds and switching. Don't assume others' identity or history. Racist, sexist, homophobic or other oppressive behavior is not ok.
  • Respect others' intimacy, personal space, boundaries and closets. Don't talk about who you saw doing what at Peer Rope.
  • Ask before touching, but don't harass even if you want to touch really bad. Give people space when they are negotiating, playing and doing after care, even if they are your best friends.
  • Photography is not allowed, except if the photos do not show anyone's belongings or anyone else besides the model or models. Anyone has the right to voice their disagreement with having photos of them taken, or photos being taken in the space they are in, and both of these will be respected. In order to decide this, everyone except one of the organisers is to close their eyes, and on a cue from the organiser, anyone who doesn't want photos taken in this space at all is to raise their hand.
  • Do not take any open containers with sugary liquids inside the practice room due to the dance mat in the space.
  • Don't drink (or use drugs) and tie.
  • Please keep your genitals covered.
  • If something doesn't feel right, please speak up! If you see something that looks dangerous, contact a staff member. Please note that some level of risk is always present in shibari – be aware of the risks. After all, everyone is responsible for their own bondage safety at peer rope.
  • If you wish to do suspensions, please discuss this with a staff member beforehand.
  • Share knowledge and get inspired! 💓

Breaking the rules leads to: 1) a warning, if continued 2) removing the rule breaker from the space, if continued 3) banning the rule breaker from the space. The organizers of Turku Peer Rope have the right to change these rules between gatherings. Organizers also have the right to decide on any other rule breaking penalties than the mentioned if suitable when e.g. the subject of the wrongdoing asks for a different way of action.
